About YuYu Hakusho
YuYu Hakusho follows Yusuke Urameshi, a teenage delinquent killed by a car while saving a child. After a series of tests from Koenma, son of the ruler of the afterlife, he is revived as an Underworld Detective who investigates demons and apparitions. The story shifts toward martial-arts battles and tournaments as it goes on.
Yoshihiro Togashi serialized it in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 1990 to July 1994, and its 175 chapters fill 19 volumes. Viz Media publishes it in North America.
It was adapted as an anime TV series in 1992 and as a live-action drama series in 2023.
