About Hakusensha
Hakusensha is a Japanese publisher headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Shueisha founded it on December 1, 1973, and although it is a separate company it remains part of the Hitotsubashi Group alongside Shueisha and Shogakukan.
Its first magazine was the shōjo title Hana to Yume, followed by the sister magazine LaLa; seinen readers know it for Young Animal. Collected editions appear under imprints such as Hana to Yume Comics, launched in 1975, Jets Comics and the Hakusensha Bunko paperback line.
The company also takes part in games, OVAs, music and TV anime based on its series.
