About J-Novel Club
J-Novel Club is an American publisher that translates Japanese light novels into English. Sam Pinansky founded it in 2016, and it is based in San Antonio, Texas. Kadokawa acquired the company on April 28, 2021.
Its model is serial: light novels and manga are released online in regular installments, then published as finished e-books. By August 2021 it had licensed more than 150 series and released over 800 e-books, drawing on publishers such as Hobby Japan, Overlap, Kodansha and Kadokawa.
Besides the main J-Novel Club label it uses imprints such as J-Novel Heart, Knight and Pulp.
