About Y: The Last Man
Y: The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic science fiction series written by Brian K. Vaughan and co-created with penciller Pia Guerra. On July 17, 2002, every mammal with a Y chromosome dies at once, except a young amateur escape artist named Yorick Brown and his Capuchin monkey, Ampersand.
DC Comics published it under Vertigo from September 2002 to March 2008 across 60 issues. It is collected in ten trade paperbacks as well as deluxe, Absolute and compendium editions, and it won the 2008 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series.
A ten-episode TV series aired on FX on Hulu in 2021 and was canceled after one season.
