About Preacher

Preacher is an adult supernatural comic created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon and published under DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. It follows Jesse Custer, a preacher in the small Texas town of Annville, who is accidentally possessed by a supernatural entity called Genesis and travels across the United States trying to literally find God.

The series ran from 1995 to 2000 with 66 monthly issues, plus five one-shot specials and a four-issue miniseries. The original run was collected in nine trade paperbacks, from Gone to Texas to Alamo, and later in six Book volumes.

AMC's adaptation aired 43 episodes over four seasons from 2016 to 2019.
